


I mean, can you imagine a dying Minuteman groaning “Preston Garvey, I give my life for you.” with his last breath? seems like there's more of a personality-cult going on there than merely following a military superior.

The way that some brotherhood soldiers shout his name as they storm into battle, or moan it as their last words when they die. While the Brotherhood does tend to follow their Elders with metaphorical horse blinders on, Maxson isn't special in that regard, and he doesn't seem to have a cult around his person to such an extreme degree that Hitler did.
